BeniciaRT_GT
As some of Y’all already saw posted earlier, Steves1200 came up to northern California to farkle/pimp his ride. The day before, we had bought a new camera and I wanted to learn the features of it, so I brought it along. It has a neat feature that allows you to set a specific color for it to “see” and will make everything else black and white. I had to play with that, and I think I got it slightly figured out. It took some pretty neat pictures and I thought I’d share them and see what Y’all thought: The subject was Phil’s ST, so I apologize in advance for offending most of you with how, ummm, not pretty the subject is. As is usual for Phil’s stuff, it is also pretty filthy: A face only a mother could love: Steve’s friend mark came up and I tried it with glacier green: I also used it on Phil’s fire engine red monster truck: And the wife’s car: For those of you that have to know, the camera is a Canon Power Shot A530. (It was one of the most inexpensive ones at Best Buy.) Link to comment

Albert
C'mon Richard, how do we know you don't just live in a black and white neighborhood? Link to comment
BeniciaRT_GT
Almost my whole world, well outside of my neighborhood, is black and white Albert! Just because it is fuzzy... Link to comment
PRC
nice camera Richard......I like the effects, used 'em at one of kids football games....allowed me to "spotlight" him. As for fuzzy vision, you still feeling the effects of you're "summer of love" night?? Link to comment
Huzband
A face only a mother could love: If that's the excuse, then Phil is one blind mother. Link to comment
Francois_Dumas
Great pictures !!! Link to comment
marcopolo
What a coincidence, I just has a Canon Powershot SD630 delivered to the door 30 minutes ago. It also has that same feature that you used. Guess I'll have to try it out. My wife wanted to get a smaller/lighter digital camera for our bike trip to California this summer. Enjoyed the pics, BTW. Whip
Nice Pix... I can't wait to see what it does with the red rock of Torrey. Link to comment

Todd_Z1
I just wanna know how many days it took Phil to get that bike so clean? Of course there is the possibility that it does not get ridden much! ! ! Hmmmm....makes me wonder. Cheers! Link to comment
BeniciaRT_GT
And i was thinking those pipse sure don't show any blueing(browning) Actually, they are ceramic coated since the blue drove our resident AR freak crazy as soon as the bike was started. Link to comment
Crazy_Canuck
Richard what kind of camera did you use? Was it a Canon. It looks alot like what my camera can do also. Link to comment
Joel
And i was thinking those pipse sure don't show any blueing(browning) Actually, they are ceramic coated since the blue drove our resident AR freak crazy as soon as the bike was started. I've been ambivalent about the coated pipes thing, but I gotta say they look sweet on Phil's bike. The turd brown I can tolerate on my GS would ruin the (otherwise challenged ) looks of a clean ST like that. Nice pics, Richard. Link to comment
Firefight911
Todd, tsk tsk tsk!!! Doesn't get ridden. BITE ME!! I am a self admitted anal retentive clean freak!! I hate leaving my bikes dirty! I still haven't figured out how I am going to cope during the UN. Then there's Hill Country, Spring and Fall Torrey, and a planned 50 CC this year. A funny one: When I did my SS1K last month, I only had one or two bugs after returning 1089 miles later. I guess the Honda spray cleaner and Plexus allowed them to slide off unharmed. Link to comment
Warren_H
This shot shows how good the technology is you can see the blue in the roundel, the blue sky reflection on the bikes tupperware, the blue recycle trash can at the end of the street and the blue in the storage bin in the garage - amazing. skyking44
The photo showing the headers is interesting. Are the headers Jet-coated? They look like they were never used. Link to comment

As is usual for Phil’s stuff, it is also pretty filthy: Sheesh, this is what I typically see! I'm so colorblind that this image looks "normal." If Richard hadn't explained the camera's effects, I never would have noticed anything more than a blue ST. (Wish it had been a Blue RT). I guess I live in that black and white neighborhood that somebody else mentioned. Link to comment
Fearless
G'day Guys Nice pics, wish my camera could do the same. Link to comment
