SMD
So, how muck "click" should I feel when adjusting the rebound damping on my Ohlins shock ? The rear shock has a definite "click" you can hear and feel but the front shock click is barely noticeable. I'm guessing the Ohlins have been in service on my RT for 60,000 to 70,000 miles. Maybe the front is in need of a rebuild ? Thanks, Scott Link to comment
keithb
Scott I am no suspension expert but my understanding is aftermarket shocks are usually rebuilt every 20K-30K miles. If your shocks have never been rebuilt they are probably way overdue. You should contact Phil Challinor (1bmwfan on the board) and ask him. He helped me with my installation and setup and now I feel like I am riding a new bike. Link to comment
duckbubbles
I've been told by an Ohlins service shop that lack of clicks in the rebound circuit is because the nitrogen charge has escaped. The shock needs to be serviced. Frank Link to comment
