HI-TECH-CHECK
Does any one know where the clutch switch connector ends at? I want to bypass it, but without cutting the original harness. I have all the plastic off and the wiring appears to head forward from the clutch lever. Does it end in a 2 pole connector somewhere specific? The bike is a 1997 rt1100 Thanks in advance. Ken H.
It ends at a connctor to the main wiring harness under the tank. Link to comment
GordonB
On my 2000RT it ends up under the dash, left side behind the speaker mount. Link to comment
HI-TECH-CHECK
On my 2000RT it ends up under the dash, left side behind the speaker mount. That is what I suspected as the tank is off and I can see nothing there. Was it a 2 pole connector? Link to comment
GordonB
Assuming the '97 is the same as the 2000, yes. It's best to cut tie wraps and follw the wire to its connector, then re tie wrap. And, if you've gone this far...$15.00 will get you a new switch. Link to comment
Uggles
FWIW the 1150 has a 2 pole connector behind the nosecone and just to the left of the R/H horn with a bunch of other multi pin connectors. Cheers Link to comment
HI-TECH-CHECK
I finally found it. A 2 pole connector taped to the harness behind the left oil cooler outlet duct. Thanks for all your help. Link to comment
