First, welcome to the board. It would be nice for the remainder of us to know who we're dealing with so fill out your Bio thumbsup.gif

First remove the outer panels on each side. To do this remove the four fasteners (two are on the back side as viewed from the wheel well, one inboard of each speeker opening, and the aft of two just outboard of your knees as sitting on the bike). The left outer panel will also need to have the auxilary power outlet disconnected, this can be done once you've removed all the fasteners.

The inner panel assembly consist of three sub panels all fastened together. Remove the tank bag holder to expose the the two fasteners fore and aft of the "gas tank." Remove these fasteners and all the others visible along the bottom by the foot controls and headers. Lifting the panel from up top off of the two exposed tabs the panel assembly comes off as one complete unit.

I hope this helps.

Geez I can be an idiot sometimes, well quite alot actually.

Yes, you do. After removal of the outer panel look under the lip of the inner panel, you'll see too torx fasteners that fasten the hinges in place to the bike.
