GelStra
So today brought an unexpected check for unused vacation time. So the Garmin 2730, currently a STEAL at Costco, flew from "would be nice" to "Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm." So I went to my sales partner to get his....thoughts. Now, this is the same guy who constantly hears how broke I am, blah, blah, blah. You can imagine what he said. argh. "But, but......" Anyone else have someone who can talk you out of the bell tower? stubble!
My wife is pretty good at that... although she doesn't talk me down so much as she pushes me out the window Link to comment
jakfrost
Reminds me of a story... I was sitting in my local the other day and a friend came in and ordered a double scotch. I asked why the stiff one and he said 'Just had a fight with the wife'. I asked how it turned out and he said in the end 'she came to me on her hands and knees'. A little skeptical I asked, what did she say...he replied: She said, 'come out from under the bed, you little chicken'. Moral: I find the best time to tell my wife something sensitve like I bought a new Remus system for the bike is just after she falls asleep. She can't say you never told her Jim Link to comment

Lone_RT_rider
I have no voice of reason in our house. Rainy's famous line is "Just buy it!". If I listened to her we would have new dirt bikes, quads, a boat, a jacuzzi, new deck, camping trailer, new diesel pickup, new Mustang GT and so on....and so on.... Of course...we wouldn't be able to EAT!!! Shawn Link to comment

UberXY
Had a terrible thing happen this week- hurt my back in some mysterious but killer way. Doctor says I can't go downstair for weeks, which is where the plasma big screen is for the superbowl is located. Wife suggests that we call our buddy who owns a high end stereo shop and have him install another big screen and sound system in our bedroom. Did she really say that? I suspect so cause I watched the game from the comfort of my bed. AND then she suggests I order a bike lift so I don't have to lay the floor changing the oil anymore. Perfect day! Link to comment

Carnadero
so socrates said to the young man contemplating marriage"it doesn't matter either way you will regret it." Not true. I'm unmarried, will most likely stay unmarried, and I like this arrangement just fine. At the very least, I don't need to seek permission/approval for any motorcycle related purchases I want to make. (not that I would...) Link to comment
