JR356
Hi, Did you not get a separate alarm pamphlet with your manuals? If not,get it from the dealer, they should have walked you through alarm activation and functions. JR356 Link to comment

JR356
Hi, You might also try the steps on this page(scroll down 3/4 of the way) http://www.r1200gs.info/misc/tricks.html Think the BMW alarms are all similar in function,so this is probably not GS specific. JR356 Link to comment
r2d2
many thanks for both links, i just went out and successfully reprogrammed my r1200rt alarm using the r1200gs info, worked great. a leaflet came in the box with the alarm (that the dealer fitted when i bought the bike) but it was without any useful info. i still cant get the turn signals to flash on activation or deactivation though Link to comment
99Roadster
The flashing turn signals may not apply to your bike. Maybe they changed that function since it was first produced for the GS and others. Glad that you got everthing else sorted. Good luck with the R, great bike. Link to comment
