ShovelStrokeEd Posted February 1, 2007 Share Posted February 1, 2007 The factory temperature sensor is located in a manifold up above and behind the oil cooler. I would not be surprised to find one there or a plugged hole. Look on the right side of the manifold. If I were going to install one, I would probably do so in the oil sump and use a surface mount right on the aluminum. I would also install a cylinder head temperature sensor or maybe two. You can do that by taking a water temperature sensor and sticking it between the fins. Of course, I kinda like the fact that the 1100S doesn't have one. Don't worry, just ride sounds like a good philosophy to me. Link to comment
