Autoswitch help

So I have my lights wired up to the relay. They work just fine when I apply voltage to the relay.

 

Bought an Autoswitch so I could us the turn signal cancel to turn the lights on and off.

 

The auto switch works if I manually ground the trigger wire.

 

Followed the instructions and wired the trigger wire to the brown/white wire going to the signal relay which is supposed to go to ground when the cancel switch is held in.

 

Doesn't work.

 

So any ideas since I know the lights work and the autoswitch is switching when I manually put the trigger wire to ground.

 

Perhaps the brown/white wire isn't the correct one?
