Free play in the front disc brakes

I have an R1100RT with 68,000 miles and I have noticed that I have a lot of free play in the front disc brakes. The floating disc seems to have too much float to it, about 3/16".The disc does not have too much wear on the pad area so do you think just replacing the 12 roll pins on each disc would do the job?

Are you talking about side-to-side to play, or rotational play? If the former, this is normal. If the latter, you need new rotor buttons.

plus both Addendums. Your R1100 and the K1100's use the same rotors and bobbins.
