R12RT 12,000 mile service questions ??

Does anyone have a list of items done at the 12,000 mile service . I want to do as much as I can to keep the cost of the service down . I have changed the oil and filter , Transmission oil .

Here is the list for what the maintenance schedule calls the "BMW Inspection (every 20,000 km)"

 

Reading fault-code memories with the BMW Motorrad diagnostic system

Performing bleed test with the BMW Motorrad diagnostic system

Changing engine oil

Changing gearbox oil (regular maintenance)*) every 40,000 km

Checking secondary spark plugs

Adjusting valve clearance

Replacing all spark plugs (during servicing)*) every 40,000 km

Replacing intake air filter element

Replacing alternator belt (during servicing)*) every 60,000 km

Visual inspection of hydraulic clutch system

Checking front brake discs for wear

Checking front brake pads for wear

Checking brake-fluid level, front brakes

Checking rear brake disc for wear

Checking rear brake pads for wear

Checking brake-fluid level, rear brakes

Checking freedom of movement of throttle cable and checking for kinks and chafing

Checking tyre pressures and tread depth

Checking ease of movement of side stand

Checking ease of movement of centre stand

Checking lights and signalling equipment

Function test, engine start suppression

Checking synchronisation

Test ride as final inspection and function check

Reading fault-code memories with the BMW Motorrad diagnostic system

Checking battery charge state

Confirming BMW Service in on-board documentation

There's also an annual service with differing steps depending on the year you might want to review that in conjunction with the list above as you'll want to mix and match based on the mileage and the year.
