aggieengineer Posted September 5, 2006 Share Posted September 5, 2006 Today while slowly braking to a stop, using the front brake only, the brake suddenly but very briefly grabbed as if I had applied maximum effort and then relaxed pressure on the lever. Pretty attention-getting to say the least. Further use of the brake resulted in normal operation. This is a completely stock '06 R1200RT. Any similar experiences out there? Link to comment

Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 If you were no where near the max. limits of stopping power, and the sensation was that the brakes came on harder first, then released, that wasn't the ABS operating as normal. ABS will never apply the brakes harder, it will only release them. I'd say something was up and it would be worth having the dealer run a diag. on the system. Link to comment
