ScottM Posted August 22, 2006 Share Posted August 22, 2006 The last two time I got caught in serious rain, my 1200RT start switch got hinkey; requiring being pressed several times before engaging. Seems to resolve after a few days. Is this something a little dielectic grease will solve? What is the easiest way to get at the inside of this switch. Thanks. Scott Link to comment

imeyers Posted August 22, 2006 Share Posted August 22, 2006 I have had my 12RT in some pretty serious rainstorms. Riding, then sitting in the rain for 2 hours and I mean it was downpouring, then back on the bike. Starter button worked 100% normal. I hose the handlebars when I wash the bike. You should not have any problem. Take it back to the dealer. Link to comment
