ctag
My BMW repair manual for the R1100 R, RS, GS, and RT (2000) lists 21 Nm torque for handlbar to fork bridge. Link to comment
ShovelStrokeEd
Generic torque for an 5/16" bolt is 15 lb/ft which is awful close to 21 N/m. 5/16" is right around 8 mm which are the bolts used to fix your handle bars to the upper triple. A quick look through a handbook such as the Machinists Handbook will give basic torque specs for just about any bolt or nut. Link to comment
