Steve1962
Francois, I've not seen that many deer on one occasion before ........ I love to see them in their natural habitat , they are so graceful ......... just got to be careful ............ those deer photos were taken near the end of the ride , and less than two miles from home ............ needless to say I rode home slowly down the country lanes ............. [No 22 yr old girl on the back of my bike though .........] Steve Link to comment
Mik
Thanks Steve When I was looking at your photos I began to guess what should have the next one. Beautifull shots and of course nice bike to Mike Link to comment
keithb
Beautiful countryside and great looking roads. I do like the ears photo. Well done!! Link to comment
Steve1962
Keith, The ears photo .............. took three , only one was in focus ............ I was riding along the road , looking across the field when up popped the deer .......... by the time I pulled over , it had leapt across the field in a zig zag motion , and then stopped to check what I was doing ............ it only stayed still for a short time , before disappearing into the distance ......... Beautiful all the same ........... Steve Link to comment
GelStra
Now I know Francois is listening, but your photos are some of the best here. Composition, lighting, all top shelf! Link to comment
Boffin
Now I know Francois is listening, but your photos are some of the best here. Composition, lighting, all top shelf! Agreed. Steve, you make me want to hang up my camera in shame The secretary of my camera club, an IT guy at my workplace, saw me looking at some of your shots at work the other day and asked me why I hadn't recruited you for the club. Nice work as always. Andy Link to comment
Steve1962
Andy and Paul , Thanks for your comments about my photos ......... Andy , You know what I'm like ............. if I think it looks nice , I'll take a snap [ remember Gower , when you had to call me away from that cliff !!?? ] ........... I've pressed the delete button on plenty of photos , but digital cameras can make even the luddite look accomplished . Living in a scenic area also helps ............. Steve Link to comment

I fully agree and am amazed at how quickly Steve picked it up. All it takes is a good eye and 'feel'..... the equipment doesn't do diddle Link to comment

Albert
Steve, Great photos as always. Just make sure you stick to plucking pheasants. "Deer plucker" is one you wouldn't want to repeat. Link to comment
crashtap
Wonderful, serene phontos as usual. Thanks. It looks surprising like my home territory in Wisconsin, including the deer. The farmers are going mad this time of year with herds grazing in the fields. The benefit thought is delicious corn fed venison in the fall, if you're lucky enough to drop one during hunting season. Question: are these deer common white tails like we have in Wisconsin? Link to comment
Steve1962
Al, So far I've not had one encounter with deer whilst out on my bike ........... from the evidence I've seen on reports from this forum alone , I don't ever want that to happen . Steve Link to comment
Highway41
WOW!! What pretty country. You need to get a helmut cam and take a video. Can you guys hunt the deer or are they protected? See ya. Bill Link to comment
