I just ordered a set of Avon Vipers today based on Rich's post. A riding buddy ran them on his VFR and said they were great. I have read other positive comments about these tires as well. People say they are very sticky. What have you got to lose by trying these tires? Sure wish I saw this post last week. On Friday a new set of Z6's arrived by UPS. Now comes the real dilemma. Which set do I mount for Torrey XII? Any recommendations?

Seriously though, it's a risk putting a completely unknown tire on for a trip like that, so, never having used Avon's, I can't say much.

 

However, I am curious if anyone has tried the Diablo's on a hexhead. I know they're more sportbike oriented, but a couple of places mentioned an overlap to sport touring.
