Dances_With_Wiener_Dogs
You could go the route of my coworker, who went in for an oil change and came out with a R1200ST...1150ST? whatever. Expensive oil change! Link to comment

Bummer Kaisr Did you drain the rear drive oil and check for metal? Or was the noise from another area of the shaft/drive? Link to comment
azkaisr
It looks like it is the crown bearing, I did not drain the oil at the house. I should hear from the shop this week as to the damage. They are telling me they did one for a RTP a few weeks ago and it was $475.00 That sound about right? Kaisr Link to comment
GordonB
Depending on varying labor rates in States (CA being the highest) you should be for 2 hrs labor plus approx $150 parts; Figure $300-350 And that's for the crown bearing and seals, was there any damage to the pinion gears? If they're replacing the FD Pivot bearings as well ($50 plus labor) then you'll be in the neihborhood of $475 Link to comment
