Blue Beemer Dude
OK, usually when I work on the RT I just move the gas tank over and bungee cord it to the handlebars, but I know that it's tough on the hoses, and one of these days something bad is going to happen... And shortly I'll be buying new shocks, so I know the tank needs to be moved. And I should replace the fuel filter too, maybe. Hmmm. Anyway, I saved a link provided by someone here on this great board, and I'm ready to order the quick connects. http://www.omega.com/pdf/tubing/couplings/ft-lcseries/ft-lcseries.asp The problem is, I don't know which ones to get. Barbed fittings? What size I.D.? Does anyone here remember (or have their receipt handy) exactly what parts I need to order? All I can remember is that there are a bunch of hoses, and they're all about this || big. All specific and accurate answers are greatly appreciated. The other kind of answers, well... BMW_Ken
I believe the 2004 R1150RT already has quick disconnects for the fuel lines. At least mine does. They are located near the electrical plug for the tank along the frame on the right side underneath the tank. Link to comment

I assume that you bought yours new, so it's not something that the previous owner would have stuck on there? Michael <--- sometimes the obvious escapes me Link to comment
Ken H.
Correct. All R1150s and some R1100s have them from the factory. Link to comment
Blue Beemer Dude
OK! Well, thanks for the info Mick, and thanks too to Ken and his other brother Ken for enlightening me. I guess now I have no excuse for not getting some decent shocks. Other than money, of course. Michael Link to comment
