Rich06FJR1300 Posted July 28, 2006 Share Posted July 28, 2006 just put in a new wilburs front shock on the RT and also did the dreaded cam chain tensioner upgrade (no more rattle on startup)...got the directions on here from someone...difficult at first as you have to use 2 small screwdrivers to compress the spring...then once done you can sneak that huge bolt out of there. Took me about half an hour to get it. Putting in the new one was a breeze. New shock was pretty easy, albeit you have to remove everything from the bike (side panels, gas tank and front tire). But she's almost ready and just checked the engine and at least she starts up and runs LOL...so that's a start right? Link to comment
