Bob Palin Posted July 27, 2006 Share Posted July 27, 2006 Somebody on the ThumperTalk board reccommends using a valve saver additive in the Honda dirt bikes - I don't know what that is - who makes it? How does it work? Does it work? I've asked there obviously but I trust this board more. Edit: thinking a little more I suppose it is some sort of lead replacement? Link to comment
Firefight911 Posted July 27, 2006 Share Posted July 27, 2006 They only thing I can think is a product that used to be around when they eliminated lead from fuels. The additive was to aid in extending the life in the valves of the old design valves before they were rebuilt with new valves, etc. Never heard of anything like this being recommended for dirt bikes in my circles (small circles!). My DRZ-400E likes pump gas just fine without any additives. What is the supposed advantage this stuff gives you? Link to comment
