peb
I just put a set of ME 880 tires on the bike. I really like how they handle. My problem is that they are V rated tires and the bike just doesn't seem to go as fast as it use to on the Z rated tires. If I were to paint the bike silver do you think I would gain some of my speed back. Link to comment
Bob Palin
You must have the sticky compound V rated ME880s - very rare. The problem is they are sticking to the hot roads and slowing you down... Link to comment
jpsmith
Silver paint is the perfect cure for sluggish bikes. I'm not sure how flames would look, but that would really make it fast. Stay Stealth with the pipe though. You don't want it to sound like an old farm tractor. JP Link to comment
Boffin
Silver works, but Biaritz Blue is better. Just make sure you do not get white on the tyre sidewalls. That really slows the bike down due to the extra circumfrential loading. Link to comment
peb
Hey, thanks for all the great suggestions. After reading all of the responses I have decided to live with the slower bike. If I were to paint if silver, that would cost money. If I were to put flames on it-then I would burn up as it would be to hot too ride. My bike is already blue and I don't like white wall tires. Maybe I will just open the throttle a bit more Link to comment
Rags
You're right it is the fastest color and most flexible. When you roll it due to the servos, it looks like a whale tipping...... Link to comment
BMT
... it looks like a whale Indeed: this is the logo of a French RT group. You see, it's not just the fastest colour, but what Mother Nature ordained. Link to comment
