BlueRidgeBoy Posted July 25, 2006 Share Posted July 25, 2006 I recently bought a set of SBS brake pads for my 1998 R1100RT. One was about 2 mm thicker than the other. (The metal backing plate seemed the same but the pad material was thicker on one.) When I removed my worn out pads the right pad (piston side) still had about 2 mm left and the left side was paper thin. Therefore I put the thicker one on the right. Is that correct? Link to comment
