Jon_M
REI-Outlet.com has the Lowrance iFinder Pro Plus GPS with a blow-out price of $49.93. That is an incredible price. I paid $175 for this same system a year ago and thought I was committing robbery. It is a good, basic unit that comes complete with the mapping software and database. It accepts chips up to 512MB --some say it will take a 1G chip-- which is enough to contain big chunks of North America. I have found that it works very well for basic GPS applications. I use mine for touring and for hiking. If you don't need a navigator with all the bells and whistles, this might be for you. How can you go wrong for fifty bucks? (In case you are not familiar with Lowrance, they are better known for aircraft and boating applications but are now entering the broader market. Cycle Gadgets, for example, is now one of their distributors.) Link to comment
