USAF1
Because BMW has seen fit to change the design for the mirror mounting system on the 1200RT.....and more than likely won't be producing any bikes in the future with the old design, I've decided that I'd like to offer all those on this Board who still drive the R1100RT and/or the R1150RT a chance to get some of the last remaining light brackets designed only for these two bikes. Of course I'm calling this a "Total Close-Out Sale" as once the last 50 sets are gone.....they'll no longer be made. Sale price is set at $50 even, plus $7.99 shipping. You may order thru my web site www.eMpDESIGNS.COM or thru the only other source..... Fernando Belair at www.MOTOEQUIP.COM. To order from MotoEquip, contact Fernando directly by e-mail (MotoEquip@aol.com) or just PM him from this board. He'll give you the details. This light bracket project all started back about 1998 with a first run of about 125 being made....and after much pushing and shoving I was encouraged to do a second run of about 250 sets......and now....well they're almost gone! So, here's your chance to get those lights up where they'll be noticed by those dozing folks in their cages. The management here has approved this one time announcement since these brackets will no longer be produced and EMP Designs is going out of business. Pat Link to comment
Dances_With_Wiener_Dogs
Nanner, nanner, I already got a set! Are you going to develop a bracket for your new bike and keep that as limited production, i.e. yours only?? I owe you $7 by the way...don't forget... Link to comment
jackie
I find this announcement very sad.... But, I have had the fortune to have three sets of your wonderful brackets, and two of those sets are still in our garage!!!! If you look at my avatar you'll see the brackets there. I've always received compliments and inquiries about them and have gave your information. Still, it makes me sad. Link to comment
russell_bynum
I had eMp brackets on my R1100RT and they were fantastic. They're a really solid design and fit the bike well. If you're looking for a way to mount big lights on an R11XXRT, this is the way to go. (Disclaimer: I have no financial ties to Pat/eMp/MotoEquip/Fernnado...just a very satisfied customer.) Foot
This may sound stupid but I was actually thinking about mounting the V-1 on one of these brackets. Since the V-1 has rear detection capabilities, mounting it on the RCU shelf would seams to me to defeat that detection ability. Maybe I'm wrong on this, since I don't have the V-1 yet. I think I will order the brackets regardless. Alan Link to comment

Laser is another matter, though, and your body would definitely block that. Link to comment

For one, you don't need to as the rearward detection from a shelf is fine, albeit not as good as from an Escort X50. And the weather, extra bug hits, will tear it up over a short time span. And as for laser detection, not to worry about that either since once you know they shot you with laser, well, you've been caught. Time to pull over and pay the man. Now, if you have plans of ever mounting driving lights on your RT, then get the brackets. Best way to stick extra lights on the RT! Link to comment
Scarecrow
[HiJack] Sorry for the intrusion, but I just wondered where you got the blue reflective stuff for your bags. I bought the standard black/white reflective stuff from Fernando some time ago, but I like the blue... [/HiJack] Link to comment
DavidEBSmith
OK, put aside a set for me, I want some for spares. But is it $50 + $7.99 shipping or $50 including shipping, like your website says? Link to comment
Foot
The V-1 would be in the hard case from legal speeding, see it here. http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?Item=RB Alan Link to comment

We obviously need to ride together more so you can collect the data you're obviously lacking (i.e. more false alarm hits do not equate to better sensitivity)! Link to comment
USAF1
SCARECROW Check with Fernando, and see if he can do those in blue.
