edpare
The right speaker in the instrument panel of my '96 R1100RT is rattling badly. I am assuming it is "blown out". I have been told it is a Polk Audio coax but can't find the size mentioned anywhere. Does anyone know what size the speaker is? Can anyone reccomend a replacement? Link to comment
GSman
Both mine were blown, so I replaced them with some Boston Acoustics...I just cut off the mounting tabs and mounted them like the stock ones...90$ if I remember right... Link to comment
Charles Elms
Any major improvements in sound with the Boston Acoustics? Link to comment
Angelo
I would question the weather resistance of regular speakers over the long haul. I have a stock pair I removed at 2300 miles I would be willing to sell. PM if interested. Anyway I would sure ask about weather exposure when purchasing speakers, Angelo Link to comment
GSman
these had a plastic-type cone...so no problems as the stock ones were the same way....they sounded much better ! Link to comment
