I would like to get power via the bike without using the cigarette lighter attachment. Any suggestions? Link to comment

Hedge36 Posted July 7, 2006 Share Posted July 7, 2006 Power becomes problematic - you have to use the 6v adaptor provided with the unit, so in short term you'd be better off going with the BMW/Cigarette adapter and then finding a good non-looped connection for a more permanent power source. Several online vendors have 12/6v hardwire solutions out there, but I usually just pick up a project enclosure and pull the guts out of the cigarette adaptor. Have to solder in some feed wires, then off you go. Advice: get a Hoon RoadyHolder and suitable RAM mount. Link to comment
