AutoCom and CB radio

I want to install a CB on my R1200RT with an AutoCom Pro M-1 but have heard very little that is positive about such a setup. I would use it primarily for communicating with truck drivers. Thoughts?

 

If you have had good experience with CB and AutoCom, which brand and model # CB radio do you recommend? Thanks.

The recommended radio is the Cobra 38WXST hand held using it's self contained battery. Having said that, it still takes a bunch of experimenting to get it all to work without power noise and feedback. I occationally switch between my GMRS and CB and it always takes some messing around to get the CB right but it can be made to work.
