NickInSac Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Hello everyone, It has been a while. I have put another 20 or 40k miles or so. I kept putting off the brake fluid flush. It has been about 3 years and now the one (or one of) the rear circuits doesn't respond to brake pressure. From what I have gathered, it is one of the sensors you can't get anymore. I am not complaining after 148K miles. I can start it and ride, if I don't hit the brakes toooo hard, it is fine. When I do some moderate stopping, I get the ABS fast flashing fault and the rear brake is completely useless. The front still works, but I suspect it is only a matter of time until the front stop. Good news! Time to find another bike. Very interested in a GS(A). Who knows if i will ever take it off road though. Ride on! 2
Rougarou Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Search for used parts. I don't think I've ever put new parts on my RT, 'cept for consumables. 1

Morning Nick That could very easily be caused by a failing internal pressure sensor, as mentioned that part is not available to the general public. "Module Master" was doing some repairs on those I-ABS modules but they seem to be way behind & don't appear to want to work on them at the moment. It could also be caused by air in the rear control circuit. So first thing to do is to service (bleed/replace fluid) in the ABS system. OR, at least bleed the rear control circuit between the pedal master cylinder & the ABS module. (kind of a long shot but it needs to be eliminated). 1
