TEWKS Posted January 7 Posted January 7 A good documentary on the history of the Africa Twin. I kind of disagree with the presenter at the very end saying the new version is a bloated tourer (or something like that) I think the guys racing in 86 would have been amazed if they (at that time) could of ridden the new Twin. I'm with you Pat, he's wrong on that point but the video is well done............... He just pooched the landing!!!! Now I gotta go to my local Honda/BMW dealer and bounce on some bikes. 1

But, the big drawback, it’s not wireless and they don’t give you a nice compartment to keep your phone tucked away.

Little bit of searching says it can be accomplished eventhough it doesn't appear wireless direct from the bike. It's some electrics magic. 1

Not a dealbreaker but something they will do for the 2026 year. Yeah not getting any younger I know. Someone should invent that. Spoiler A getting younger machine.
Rougarou Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I perused a couple of videos, just flashing through, not really "getting" the detail, but I think they connected via the Cardo and got the carplay working. Also saw the usb thinghy too. I dunno, one of those "shoulda" put the chip in for it things. If'n the screen is available (you listening BMW in 2019), the chip/option shoulda been included. 1
