Imbedded YouTube video issues

Whenever I try to include a YT video and then attemp to play it before posting, I get the following error message.  Any suggestions to fix this?

It worked for me, it played while staged before posting.. Try embedding it, then posting it before trying to play it. Can't help beyond that.

That looks like the software we pay for is trying to protect itself.

Doesn't help.  Got the same response when clicking on your Charlie Brown video.  Same effect in 3 different browsers (Brave, Edge & Chrome).  

 

Interestingly, I can play the suggested videos splayed across the bottom of the screen but when clicked, I'm thrown out to YouTube proper and don't stay in the forum.  Well, just won't play videos so you can all stop imbedding them.

Happening to half the videos I post. A new phenomenon for sure. You can also just copy the link and paste that. It’s not as inviting but it will take you to the YouTube vid that you want to share.

So, this morning, you +1 my post and the YT vids work as normal.  What power you have!

 

I think but will test later that pausing the VPN did not solve the issue but shutting it down may have.

I still get the  "sign in to YouTube" message on around 80% of the time I try to open a YouTube video on this site....nowhere else.  Just a little aggravation,.

Hmmnmm.....  I'm traveling around the California coast, so I haven't been paying attention. But..... Those have you having problems, do you have a youtube account? I think I have one, but have only used it on one device. On that tablet youtube is a PITA about logging in before it lets me do anything.

I have a YouTube account and think I've discovered that the VPN is the cause even if it's paused.  I'll do some more testing.

I also have a YouTube account.  Here's how it goes:  Try to open a video on this site and (most of the time) get the error message John R posted.  Log into YouTube and still get the error message.  But sometimes I can open a video but not others.  I tried other sites and You tube itself and have no issues.  If I'm doing something wrong, I'd like to fx it.

In my case:

 

• The VPN wasn't the issue.
• I've viewed YT vids here w/o being logged into YT.
• I've viewed YT vids here when not logged into BMWST and YT
• The error formerly occurred in 3 browsers.

 

Suggest you try:

• Deleting browser history
• Adding uBlock Origin extension

Saw the troubles with YouTube videos.

 

Decided to test some things.

 

This “should” work.

 

I did try to “insert other media” on the far right side of the page but that didn’t work.

 

Finally wound up just literally pasting the link copied directly from BoobTube.

I dunno what the hiccup is for some of you all.  I just posted another video via my work network with all it's "blocks" in place.  I've got NordVPN at the house and have a couple of ad blockers running on the browsers.  I'm not signed in on youtube at work but am at home, so it is a bit strange why some can post and some can't.
