mrduck Posted November 17 Posted November 17 In by 2:00 …….we had rain, cold mornings, some reports of light snow …..to warm and sunny skies……..Kern Brewery was excellent as always, pie for lunch ,and the Happy Burro chili dogs were delightful! Thanks to all who made it there, that was an outstanding weekend! 8
C_Williams Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Home at 03:30pm Excellent weekend. Excellent company, Excellent Chile Dogs, what more can a man ask for? Mr. Duck conversing with one of the locals. Heading up to Dante's Point. 9
BrianT Posted November 18 Posted November 18 In by 3:15. Another great DVD! Now the long wait for March for the next group event. :( Stopped by the Trona Pinnacles on my way to Death Valley. The sand dunes in Death Valley NP, from a distance. Lots of wind made for a sandstorm. 7
Groanup Posted November 18 Posted November 18 In yesterday sometime before 3 pm. I don't remember any names for sure, but we had some new folks show up! It was a pleasure meeting all y'all. Anyway, one of the best DVD weekends I can remember. (insert clever remark about my memory here) Couple pics: Thursday night in Kernville. Thanks to Jan and Sharron for sharing your room with us! Friday morning in the Alabama Hills outside Lone Pine Friday at Father Crowley Point. Spectacular sky! On the way down from FCP, I went and hit a rock... But it holds air! 5
Groanup Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Couple more... Exchange Club Casino is looking nearly done Saturday we rode around the park. Any rumors of police activity are greatly exaggerated... A couple from Dante's View Lunch in Shoshone Saturday. That's all I got. Next? 5
rockitcity Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Hey everyone, just wanted to say it was a pleasure riding with you all over the weekend. Good inaugural ride on my new GS. Thanks to Ed for putting together some great riding routes. For those interested, I found an interesting link on You Tube about the Exchange Club Casino in Beatty. Also has some shots inside the Sourdough Saloon. Cool place! Thanks for including me on the ride! Bob 5

stubble! Posted November 19 Posted November 19 We tried to make sunset in DV on Friday, but didn't quite make it. Oh well, we'll take ratty ol' Panamint Valley. Casino is a work of art. Greeted some locals... Got a date shake The valley was clearer than I expected given the wind the night before. Titus canyon was interesting without any trace of vehicular traffic The chili dog and company was questionable at the happy burro (in other words, perfect) And the ride home was cold as hell but beeeautiful! 7
hunter41 Posted November 19 Posted November 19 A great meetup!! First time meeting you all and I felt right at home. Thanks! On our way to Kernville - Granite Rd and 155. Learned the "relief station" was behind a water tank. Alabama Hills On the way home I stopped for the obligatory photo (with any new bike) in Amboy on Rte 66 5 4
Twisties Posted November 19 Posted November 19 In safe and sound in Cortez. 8 days on the road. Good riding, good friends. Great to see everyone. 5
FlyingFinn Posted November 25 Posted November 25 I guess I’m a week late with my “check in”. Oh well… Another absolute awesome DVD in the books! It was great to see all (at least most) the old friends, and a few new ones. And the chili dogs were as delicious as ever! Ran into some light snow when exploring the closed Wildrose Rd. The weather made some dramatic skies over the Stovepipe Wells Mikko 10
LBump Posted Friday at 07:21 AM Posted Friday at 07:21 AM Dannnng.... I really like the photographs! Sorry, we missed it.
