Jharpphoto
My bike was struck by a deer and I believe the insurance company will declare the bike a loss. Repair costs =$7,750. How can I figure out the approximate value my insurance company will pay for a settlement? I'm sure this value will have a range. Just trying to figure out how much I will have to work with when/if they declare the bike a total loss. Link to comment
Hati
Why don't you ask them for a payout/buyback figure? Highly doubt that anyone but them would be able to give you an accurate figure. 1 Link to comment

Jharpphoto
wonder if I might get a little more? My bike is a 90th anniversary Jahre edition. Seen these in similar condition/mileage north of $15k Link to comment

Your best bet is to do as much research as possible to find some comps and try to make your case with your insurance agent. Link to comment

Seen these in similar condition/mileage north of $15k I'm interested also as I have the same bike. My health is probably gonna force me to sell this fall or next year - Just can't ride anymore, which is a damn shame because it's a wonderful bike and I just retired. Link to comment
jdub53
I have the same bike also, and while I have no intention of selling I'm always interested when seeing asking prices of 90th Jahre editions for sale. Here's a current one with only 15k miles for $9,900, and I've seen two others within the past six months with less than 50k miles for under $8,000 asking price: https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/2013-r1200rt-9-900-00-knoxville-tn.1754755/ Link to comment

Seen these in similar condition/mileage north of $15k I found a link with multiple bikes over $15k. I’ll see if I can locate that link again and I’ll share here. Found it. Check these prices out. 2013 BMW RT Jahre bikes for sale Link to comment
jdub53
The RTs I mentioned/linked to above were all 90th Jahre editions also, and no idea how they compare with the mileage of yours. Best of luck getting all you can from your insurance company. If you're looking to replace with another Camhead RT, good time to do so as used bike market prices are really depressed right now. One example that I think is an incredible deal; a 2012 RT with only 42k miles for $5,000 asking price. https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/2012-r1200rt-5000-in-pa.1756423/#post-51423999 Link to comment
MikeB60
Just because that's the asking price I doubt they are going to sell at that price. You can get a low mileage wetheads for that price. 1 Link to comment

That's where I bought my 90th Jahre RT in 11/2022 for substantially less than either of those, and Bob's changed his business name to Bob's Motorcycles at that same time when he also became a Ducati dealer. The old Bob's BMW banner behind the bikes gives it away. 1 Link to comment
