2016 r1200r temperature sensor question

I added a V-Stream windscreen to my 2016 r1200r. Since then my ambient temp guage has read 10 or more degrees higher. Is the temperature sensor in the instrument console and being blocked by the screen or something else? Any solutions?

On my 2016 R1200RT the ambient air temperature sensor is visible in the right side air intake to the radiator.

I ended up relocating my temperature sensor to just under the "beak" of the bike.   In the original location, it was reading warm air trapped behind my V-stream windscreen and thus read 10-15 degrees too high.   Relocating it solved the problem.
