Gryphon moto gear?

Recommended Posts

Has anybody on the forum had experience with Gryphon motorcycle clothing? I have decent(but cheap, no, inexpensive) Firstgear that is kinda old and was looking to replace. Looked at Aerostich and Klim and love the gear but at 71years old it's just outta my priceline cause I probably have ten years riding left if I'm lucky! Saw some of their gear at the MOA rally last year and price seemed reasonable for the perceived quality ...Any one with personal use?

No experience with Gryphon but if you're ever in the need for affordable motorcycle gear I never hesitate to recommend wickedstock.com . I have no affiliation with them other than being a very satisfied customer with everything I've bought from them. My textile jacket and pants have lasted for years in hot, cold, rain...a little of everything. No issues with craftsman ship or materials. Held up extremely well for stuff at that price point. I will say that I no longer wear the jacket I got from them since I switched to a helite air bag jacket a couple years ago. The pants I still wear and have had them for several years now. That's all I got to say about that (have to read that last line in a Forest Gump voice).

Hey Mitkev, welcome! Shortly after posting my query months ago, I got an email from Mark @GryphonMoto and they were doing yearly closeouts on some of their gear and I ended up purchasing one of the Blue Ridge jackets at 50% off (I wanted a Vancouver but they had none left in my size and the hi-viz color that I prefer) and I am entirely satisfied with my choice! It was put thru serious rain at FART, and it really kept me dry, just before we left they had another sale and I purchased the Pyrenees for my wife and it got delivered while we were on the road. Her pricing was 70% off and for even the full list price this gear is well thought out, well made, and a BARGAIN! Considering that I got mine for a buck- fifty and paid $121 for the Pyrenees I have to say Gryphon gear rocked! P.S. Hey, Shawn thanks for the heads up on Malcom Smith's gear it looks great and I've done lotsa business with Rocky Mtn in the past, mostly tires, and I was close before I got that email from tha folks at Gryphon but I couldn't pass on that deal! It seems they do those closeouts a couple times a year! If you or anyone is looking for reasonably priced gear check 'em out!! I will tell you it's an obvious step down from the high end (ie Klim, Aerostich, etc.) but for value and function it's pretty respectable.
