Does anyone know if if a Carpuride W702 gps with the BMW bracket fits on a R1200RT?

It is made for R1200GS.

Didn't know if they both have the same mount for the nav system?

Morning Greenrider

From what I can tell the Carpuride W702 gps comes with both a round handlebar clamp mount & a double ball socket extension. (clamps between (2) 1" round balls).

If that is how the one you are looking at comes, then depending on where you want to mount it, all you would need is the motorcycle side 1"ball  (either a ball on a long stud, or a ball on an "L"  shaped 90°, or on a 45° angles mount. Lots of options when using a ball mount.

Post a link to the one you are looking at then we can then add more detail on mounting it.

Afternoon Greenrider

That is the one that I looked up.

About all I can tell you is that it should fit using a ball mount on the handlebars, or on the upper triple tree.

It looks like it comes with the extender so you would just have to buy a ball mount that fits (or can be modified) to put the GPS where you want to mount it.

It will take some ingenuity to get it mounted in a location that you want.

The I circled the extender in a red circle.

Take a picture looking at the dash  while sitting on your motorcycle & holding a cell phone or similar size item about where you would like to mount it then we can possibly make some recommendations on what ball mount to try.

Does your mount have buttons on the side?  If so I don't think that mount is compatible with current bmw navigator type mounts.

Yes it has buttons.

Don't care if it buttons wouldn't work.

Would like if it would connect to existing bracket and power up when I  turn the key.

Post a picture of it up close. I think they changed between that model and the current stuff.
