Good morning to everyone!!!!!
Every year a large group of motorcyclists welcomes the Holy Light from Kavala airport at Greece
and accompanies it to the central church of Chrysoupolis city Kavala.
This year, 2024, the airport management did not allow entry of motorcycles to avoid any negative events,
the block in the node can also be seen in the video,
although unpleasant events have never been in the past.
This year, the established Holy Ride had a symbolic character.
Here's the video: (wear earplugs)!

Buncha damn hoodlums!

Can't imagine why airport Management was a little worried.

To be clear, I approve of all the shenanigans!

Honestly, they behaved pretty damn well. No riding on the sidewalk cutting off pedestrians and cars in traffic popping wheelies! Only did stuff when they were parked away from traffic and even that was mostly tame!

In good old Florence, Oregon by the sea shore this is Rhododendron Weekend whereupon the Harleys descend upon the town and for 3 days you can't hear yourself think.  Well, I guess about all you can say is to each his own and not worth going much further than that.  I will never understand how anyone can stand to ride one of these beasts just never!  They all look and sound just alike.  Even the riders look like clones of each other.

So you're saying you don't want to ride with me when my ThunderHeader exhaust is barking in anger?  🙂

"They all look and sound just alike"

Yeah, because BMWs are so unique in their appearance.....

lol..lol..Well, to tell the truth I do kind of lust over the new Road Kings but riding an HD would be hard for me as I have degenerative disc disease with two of the worst in my lower lumbar so the riding position on the HD just would cause me much grief.  If I had an RK I would run stock exhaust as I really like the stock sound of the bike.  There are many things I like about the RK but shhhhh...don't tell anybody. more lol..lol..

I gotta add one more thing.  I like to watch the nightly Smoaks Vlog on U-Tube now and then because I'm familiar with southwestern Washington State which is where Smoaks lives and he and his wife commute each day from Winlock  to Vancouver where they both work at Pro Caliber which is a motorcycle super store that reps everything from BMW to Indian and all makes in between, literally.  Well, Smoaks is the chief BMW expert but in his personal life he owns 3 HDs and a bunch of Royal Enfields but no BMWs.  One of the HDs is a late model Road King and he and Kelley take rides in the WA countryside and I just really enjoy the sounds that the RK produces, scenery isn't bad either what with Mt. St Helens and  Rainier in the background.
