Dealer Shout Out!

I took my bike to BMW Motorcycles of Cape Fear in Wilmington, NC for a front tire replacement yesterday.  What a great experience!  Chris, the service advisor, was courteous, professional and very helpful. 

 

The dealership, including the shop, is spotless with their clothing displays that made it easy to spend time while waiting.  The waiting area had a nice sofa and a couple of very comfortable chairs, with large windows so you didn't feel like you were in a closet.  

 

The final price was actually less that was quoted over the phone and they reset my oil change reminder at no charge.  

 

The other cool thing about this place is that they are also a Lotus Dealership, in the same building AND they had a used McLaren sitting right outside the door! Looking around at these was a very pleasant way to spend the hour while I waited.

I would have love to drive the McLaren and/or the Lotus.

I should also give a Shout Out to BMW Motorcycles of Greater Cincinnati located up in Middletown OH.  Kirk and my dealer Chuck were GREAT to work with as I ordered my new 2024 R1250RT straight from the factory.  Chuck kept me well informed as to the progress/status of the bike from order to delivery, even sending me picture of the bike as they uncrated it from the truck!  Wonderful experience with these guys!

Shout out to Moto Union in West Allis, WI.  They got my new tires on for the trip I'm on right now-few days before I left, and since the ones they took off have a good 5000 miles left, they offered to keep them on their shelf until I get back June 29 and will have these tires worn out!  Mike is a great guy-solid experience all around there.
