SteveD
A couple years ago I installed speed bleeders on my ‘00 R1100RT and I have been bleeding the front and rear brakes just fine every year. Tonight when I started bleeding the rear brake, keeping the rear brake fluid reservoir full at all times while working the pedal, the rear bleeder spit out a little brake fluid and then stopped completely. I tighten the speed bleeder back up and now I have no rear brake pressure. At first I though it was a bad speed bleeder but after tightening it up I should have rear brakes? The rear brake pedal offers no resistance what-so-ever. Could it be air in the line causing the problem? Thanks in advance. Link to comment
Kenny2
I would remove the caliper and the pads, checking to see if everything is free moving. Push them back into the unit, watching the fluid level in the reservoir. Then do the bleed again. Link to comment
SteveD
Thanks Ken, it turned out to be a bad speedbleeder. I replaced it, pumped the air out and the rear brake is functioning again. Thanks for your suggestion. Link to comment
