Maybe you can draft behind William?

Well, if you lead one ride and are a tad bit late for lunch, they won't let it down.  :dontknow:

....more miles, more fun.  :bike:

For a good chuckle on the inside humor check out this thread.  Be sure to see the photos Terry posted; the commentary still makes me smile.  Classic!

One week out, weather looking good, rain chance dropped to 10%, temperature up to 70, shorts weather William. :18:

Just extend the windshield and switch on the heated seat and grips.

Maybe there will be enough heat coming from the engine on the Harley to keep you warm.

Do they sell much without carbs or sugar there? Or am I going to have to bring my own food again?

Oh, I am not sure, but I do think they have a salad/veggie option, that includes items that are not potatoes and pasta. I also think they have chicken, fish and pot roast. No one has ever gone hungry in this place. Just be careful what you pick. :stir:  :eat:

Hey, it's Southern Cookin at it's finest, man.  They even put sugar in the slaw.

Also, it's ALL about #1) The Ride, #2) The Comradery, and #3) The Groceries.

Sometimes we transpose #1 & #2 if there are "interesting events" enroute, like getting held up by the same %&*($ slow train TWICE.  And some even declare a #4 The Stories.  We don't even change the names to protect the innocent.

I hate that I am missing this lunch this year.  Family Christmas obligations.  I usually ride home from Yoder's with a carrot cake and the satisfaction of being entertained by watching Terry eat.........and eat.......and eat.  Have fun everyone, ride safe, and Merry Christmas.

The weather looks GREAT for a Saturday ride!!

PC, 57 to 68 deg, 3 mph wind, and 2-3% chance of rain!!  This is NOAH's take on it for Sat in Macon, GA.

Didn't Noah weather the storm?

Sorry to hear that Ron.   Terry can always post the before and after, after, and more after photos as proof that it did happen.   Guessing that  he has been training for this lunch all year.   :dontknow:

After a long and arduous 15.7 mile ride I arrived at Yoder's Deitsch Haus tired and famished. :3:

The weather was a little cooler than forecast but the turnout was great, 13 riders if I counted correctly. Chris did a good job leading William and the Atlanta boys down so William wouldn't lose his way, great work Chris. Bill Murray and the Greensboro crew were there, MikeB60 pointed East and hit the throttle, straight shot from his place. As always, Bernie led the East Coast Florida riders. Tim led Rob through Alabama, thanks Tim, hopefully we treated Rob well enough he returns.

Some great conversation in the parking lot.

It was wonderful seeing everyone, a big welcome and thanks to Rob for attending and for those never having the pleasure of dining at Yoder's it is well worth the ride. Bernie and i look forward to having y"all attend the January SECFF which will be posted soon.

And for those wondering, I took the long way home so the oil would reach temperature, a 22 minute ride. :18:

Great seeing everybody.

My lunch:  roast with mash potatoes and gravy, cheesy broccoli,  and apple pie for dessert.   (the lemon wedge was for the water)

Well it was a long day, around 573 miles. A little foggy for a few hours in the morning, but comfortable temperatures all day.

I was joined by Ashley (Honda ST1300) and Phil (Ducati Desert X). We stopped south of Valdosta at Farmhouse Restaurant for a coffee and a little breakfast.

After this short break, we continued on the country roads. We just made it before the Yoders opened there doors for lunch.

And yes there was food and good pies for everyone. And Yoders always treats us royally.

Thank you everyone for showing up and thank you to the volunteers that help with taking my suspension sag measurements after I had lunch. :4315:

I hope everyone have a great and wonderful Holiday season and a happy , safe and healthy New Year!

Lordy, that is some good-lookin' comfort food!  (and the other goodies William chose look yummy!).

Gotta make one of these meetups......

Well, escape from the terrible winter in N-Alabama and come down to Cedar Key, enjoy a nice weekend in a Gulf Coast Village and join us for lunch. Bring your camper.

Bernie, can you have Phil provide a report on the Ducati?  I have a riding friend very interested in that bike.  He's read the online reviews and viewed Fort Nine's positive (and hilarious) video.

Thanks.

Phil seems to really like the x so far but says it needs a seat. No one makes one yet. I told him to ride it to Sargent and leave it and I bet they make one and give him a discount for being a Guinea pig.
