BrianT
I'm looking to try something different for the route up to Torrey this year and saw this interesting route connecting Beaver UT to US 89. UT-153 Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway Description The road tops out at 10,200 feet going over the mountains. The first 25 miles are paved eastbound from Beaver and the last 19 miles are dirt. From the pics I can find, the dirt portion looks mostly like a well maintained road. Has anybody here been on this road or know anything about it? Anybody know how easy or difficult the dirt portion is? Thanks in advance for any insight. 1 Link to comment

LBump
Looks like a good route. I'd be interested though I wouldn't have the right bike. Enjoy and report! 1 Link to comment
David13
I have been on that road. More than once. It is paved to near the top. Then, for the down side to the east and down to Junction it is dirt, gravel, and a few rough spots. On an RT it would be a little rough and dusty. But I have driven it in a Honda Civic, so, should be no problem for you. Closed in winter. You will see dirt bikes up there, maybe a GS, probably not too many RTs. dc 1 1 Link to comment
David13
Also, Archel's in Beaver has closed up. Last time I was there I was the only one there. dc And, yes, there will be washboard. 1 1 Link to comment
