Urban Surfer
There is some kind of clear coating available. Just spray on and wash off. Any one know what it's called, where to buy it? Link to comment
brennaman
Dupli-color makes it, and it can be bought at auto-zone, or any auto parts store. It comes in black or clear. It is called "SHIELD temporary spray-on bra protection". I have never tried it, but if you go to dupli-color's web site, they have a good video on it. Link to comment
brennaman
By the way, 3M makes a clear, very tough, material that can be put on your bike that does the same thing, just more permanant. There was a company called clear-bra, that has the same product. I am not sure if clear-bra is still around, they will apply it for you. I bought some of this off of the internet from: Sherman Abegg 2540 S. Main st. Salt Lake City UT 84115 (801)486-7668 I am not sure if they are still open, I bought this 3 years ago. I put it on the lower scoop of my R1150RT, behind the front tire. On my '96 RT, this area was very chipped up. I had it on my new bike, and it was getting torn up with about 35k miles on it, so I took it off to find the paint looked like the day I bought the bike. Not a single ding. I put some more on to protect for the next couple of years. This stuff is great in my opinion, it does not yellow, and if you take your time and apply it right, you can't tell it is on unless you rub your hand across the seams. Just one more option out there.
