You might want to add the city/state location of your bike:

cycletrader comps: R1200RT's

2016 30.6K miles $7,399

2017 53K miles $8499

2016 84K miles $8900

2014 20K miles $8990

... plus many others.

Every bike is unique, and these things aren't commodities, but the your price looks a bit high for the market, due to the mileage.

FYI, and good luck on your sale!

Always open for reasonable offers.

It appears as if I have overestimated the worth of my RT.  Revised asking price to $7500 and still willing to listen to offers.

This would make an excellent bike for someone that would like to get into Sport Touring with a proven bike.

Knowing that the maintenance is up to date and it's been routinely serviced, this bike has lots of life left in it.

This is just the kind of bike I was looking for last Aug when I was hit on my 2016RT and it was totaled.

If I had not just bought another used 2017RT, I'd seriously consider this one.

Good luck with the sale!

I think this forum was better without comments from the cheap seats.  If you're interested contact the seller otherwise move on.

All I can tell you sir is, if it is not the right bike for you, don’t buy it!  If you are interested, make an offer.

Moving on! However, when are comments not allowed or appreciated? My skin is just as thick as yours!

I retired from teaching after 35 years.  My principals often had to remind me, "Rob, it's not what you say; it's how you say it that gets in your way."

Comments are allowed, not always appreciated.

I have no dog in this fight, but I feel that when a member here posts an item for sale, they are not looking to have it torn down in a public manner. If one doesn't like the price or the product, one should be kind enough to keep his negative comments to himself. Craigslist doesn't have a comments section, mostly because they would be 99% negative, and who needs that?

This is a public forum, but politeness and decorum rule, and that should carry to sale items as well. If not, why put anything up for sale here at all? They could be listed many other places, but those that post here are looking to offer to a specific audience, a seemingly trustworthy and appreciative group, perhaps even giving first crack at a sale before listing in another forum.

If I put something up for sale here, and the first comment is, you're crazy, that would not sit well with me. If the first comment was, looks good, good luck in your sale, sweet, thank you.

Just my  $.02.

I also wanted to say to Rocko, that is a nice looking scoot, looks well cared for. Were I in the market I would seriously consider that bike, not terribly old, and a good price to get into a great bike, same one I rode in Europe 6 years ago. I was impressed with the whole machine and features. That bike is the reason I am on this site, made me reconsider my choices in bikes.

Sorry to hear you are giving up riding (maybe consider a smaller bike to continue), good luck with your sale.

You're selling it at the right time of year.  You should see a bunch of interest soon.  It IS a beauty, and the black is a classic.

Hang in there!  👍🍻

I don’t think he’s giving up riding, he’s been V Stroming it quite a bit in Ride Tales!

Definitely not giving up riding.  I am riding a 650 VStrom a bunch and am considering a Yamaha Tracer GT.  Like you said, something lighter but still plenty of fun.

Dave , Glad you finally freed up that space. Just don't forget to tell us what you fill it up with  :D

Dave, that spot was pre-filled with a Yamaha FJ09.  Still have the RT too.CC2839B4-4735-495E-B5D5-5DE9B5EBA376.thumb.jpeg.09f08581f80fb376d9cf7460401195e1.jpeg
