RPG
I took my 2004 RT (113k) out of storage this past Sunday and did about a 100 mile ride. No issues. Bike ran perfect as expected. Next morning I turned on the ignition and noticed that the RID didn't power up, as well as no cycling of the fuel pump. A few seconds later, it powers up. Side stand was up, bike was in neutral and kill switch was in the middle position (Off) It hasn't happened since that one time, but wondering if there's a suspect relay, etc. that might be flaking out? I like to be prepared just in case it happens far from home. Thanks, RPG Link to comment

Did you clock reset or keep the correct time? Also check your battery cable connections for being tight & resistance free. Check fuse #3 for being OK, fully in place, & no slight fracture of the fuse element. Link to comment
RPG
Morning D.R., If I recall, the headlight came on at Key-On and the clock kept the current time. I will check the battery cables as instructed. Appreciate it, Rick Link to comment

Also, look it over very carefully for possible mouse damage to the wiring. If it happens again try leaving the key-on then moving the side stand up & down a few times while watching the RID. RPG
Afternoon D.R., I had the bike stored at a buddy's house but inserted several dryer sheets to prevent mice from taking up residence. But one never knows. The side-stand switch was replaced a few years ago and I did move it up and down with no effect on the RID. I'll take a look at the Motronic relay and wiring and report back. Thanks again, Rick Link to comment
