GSA Mirrors

My 2009 1200 GSA had large, round rear view mirrors and my 2017 1200 GSA has smaller, oval shaped mirrors. I prefer the larger round mirrors. If I were to find some round mirrors, like on a 2009, are they interchangeable?

This tells me they are Interchangeable . 
 

If we can absolutely confirm that, I might be interested in a swap. Mine are the round ones from a 2012 GS.

Interchange? Very possibly as they both seem to use the same  51167698694 left hand thread adapter. Now whether or not they are the same height & extension is still a question.
