jerling
Fits 2005 - 2014 R1200 I Installed new HyperPro Shocks in my R1200RT & for various medical reasons, I have not ridden the bike much since. 210 miles on the shocks - They lowered bike about 1", the side stand still works OK, but bike sits very upright. These are a HUGE improvement over the stock BMW shocks! Paid $1400, rear shock has remote preload adjuster. See photos for build details & model #'s $850 Jack NW Chicagoland Link to comment
Bigfish
Jack, Could you describe what these shocks were initially set up for. i.e. 150 lb single rider Thanks. Link to comment
jerling
I informed EPM that I weight about 175 lbs, and ride about 50% of time with a Passenger that weighs 160 lbs and sometimes have packed luggage. The Hydraulic rear shock preload adjuster has plenty of adjustment for all these situations. I simply add a few turns of preload when riding 2-up. However, as mentioned, I only rode 300 ,iles on them. This what I bought from EPM: They should still be under full warranty & I have the free rebuild certificate too. "Model 360 front and 460 rear, each with adjustable rebound damping and the hydraulic pre-load adjuster for the rear shock. The price is $ 1,399.00 shipped to you in Chicago. Warranty will be 5 years and they come with a coupon for a FREE 1st service after 20-22,000 miles or 2-3 years" Link to comment
