RPG
I do my own tires on my R bikes and have most of the adapters for the balance stand, but was helping a buddy install a new tire on his K1600GTL and my Marc Parnes circular adapter was too small for the rear wheel. I see Marc is on vacation until 10/18 and my buddy is leaving for Florida on 10/16 to spend the winter. Does anyone know where I could get a similar adapter? This is the one I think I need. It's listed as a 72mm adapter on his site. http://www.marcparnes.com/BMW_Motorcycle_Wheel_Balancer.htm#K16B "One 72mm rear wheel Adapter and one Universal cone. This is to upgrade a BML balancer originally used for an earlier Paralever bike." K16U http://www.marcparnes.com/ba12.jpg Link to comment
MikeB60
I've got one but unfortunately I'm away from the house until sometime around the 22nd. Good luck in the search. Link to comment

K16U http://www.marcparnes.com/ba12.jpg Afternoon Rick I can't help you with an adapter as mine is custom made for my personal balancer. But, I can possibly make a suggestion, give (Town & Country Sports Center) a call. If they have a standardized dynamic balancing machine they can probably balance it for you. Most non-BMW-dealers won't mount a BMW tire/wheel due to possible damage but balancing is pretty benign so a good possibility that they will balance it. Probably cheaper to have it balanced than buying an expensive adapter. Link to comment
RPG
Afternoon D.R. T&C is only about three miles from me so I know the dealership quite well. I'll take your suggestion and give them a call. Funny thing is, my buddy was convinced that I changed his rear tire about a year ago, meaning that I would have balanced it as well. When my smaller adapter slid right through his gaping 72mm dia wheel, he then realized that it wasn't me. lol! Link to comment
