Jeff from Massachusetts
Quick and easy. What a good battery for 2000 RT? I do not want to have to replace my battery tender. This will be the first battery change since new and this one still shows no sign of failing but do not want trouble on a trip I'm planning to Nova Scotia. Thanks in advance Link to comment
twilmotte
If you've gotten 5 to 6 years out of the original BMW OEM battery, why not consider replacing the battery with the exact same kind?? However, many forum members (and several of my riding buddies) highly recommend the Odyssey PC680. (http://www.odysseybatteries.com/battery/pc680.htm) Link to comment
akasjl
I personally switched to an Odyssey PC 680 when my OEM died. I, and many (I'd say most) on this forum, are quite pleased with and favor it. If you do a search, you'll find many threads on the battery. Link to comment
bmwmick
Jeff, Do a quick search on Panasonic or LC-X1220P. Mick Link to comment
Bruce Barrow
Jeff, Just bought my 2nd Odyssey PC680. 5 years on the first one; just thought it was about time. Still started great and I really liked never having to check fluid levels. I did put it on the Battery Tender occasionally but it always indicated close to fully charged.
