I carry about 25 'names' used in the credits for the Click and Clack radio show on NPR. I used them frequently when signing credit card receipts that no one every checked. Chips have taken that fun away. here are a few good ones. Dewey Hafta, Neil Down, Anita Buttkiss, Pete Moss, Artie Fischel, Roxanne Debris, Seymore Robins, Hugh Jass, Hany Panky, Pat Matukus, Isabel Ringing, Lisa Carr, Al Fresco, Uri Placeable, Wilma Butfit, Kurt Reply, Hugo Phurst, Philip Harmonic, Ella Fynoe, Frieda Wales, Harry Mammoth, Jay Walker, Jim Shortz, Hyman Olcowhand, Howard D. Oysters, Luke Bizzy, Amal Shukup, Pete Whaker (I actually knew a guy with this name), Cory Ander, Pat McCrotch. There are many more. Probably still on line. I worked at a pizza place 50 years ago. We had to page people to pick up their orders. One we'd get called in would be for Katie Meoff. Well, if she's not answering, please page her husband Jack. 1 Link to comment

You forgot Harry Bush,......and I did have a MGySgt, his name was Harry (not Harold) Bush,........what parents he musta had. I also had a Pvt Benjamin Dover,....when he checked in, I had to, for myself, check his ID card. I think it's pretty funny that they slipped a slew of names in. Link to comment

Rougarou
The Navy has weird ranks whereas they go by their MOS (job)/rating,.....instead of Seaman 2nd Class it's HN2 (hospital corpsman) 2nd class, or YN2 Yeoman 2nd class or Interior Communications 2nd Class and they're also called by just the initial two letter designators. On shipboard deployments and in a liberty port, when leaving the ship, we have to sign out with our respective units. I was in a grunt company, my friend (HN1-which is a Navy guy E6) was in a headquarters and support company. I had signed out of my company and accompanied Doc Zimmerman in the line to sign out with his H&S company. Doc Z signs out, gets his liberty card, then the troop asks me my name to retrieve my liberty card,....I replied "IC2 Cox",.......Dox Z rolls his eyes at me,.....I say,...."Its you guys rank structure". RogerC60
When I was in college, I was starting a new co-op tour in a large department of a large intelligence gathering agency in the U.S. Dept. of Defense. My supervisor told me I'd need to talk to "Harry Bear" about my assignment. I thought, "Yeah, let's prank the co-op on his first day" so I just grinned and said okay. Then later as I was being introduced around, they introduced me to Harry Baer. That was really the guy's name. Link to comment
