Short Notice Breakfast Ride to Wrightwood 8/9/2021(Mon)

My forks are fixed!

To be sure they are repaired properly, I'm going to the Grizzly Cafe in Wrightwood for breakfast on Monday morning.

Y'all are welcome to come along.

Meet at the Clear Creek Turn-out on Angeles Crest Hwy. It's about 9.5 miles up from the Shell gas station on Angeles Crest at the 210 fwy.

Kickstands up about 8:30 am. We'll stop for a break just after the tunnels.

 

Let me know here if you're going to make it, so I'll know who to wait for.

i usually need a couple of weeks after days of concentrated riding to get back into my usual hiking/y-workout routine.   
So  I’m going to pass on this one.

Ah, but only 82 for a high in Wrightwood. And cooler than that in the high country!

Great day for riding the Crest, perfect weather, almost non-existent traffic. As Larry stated, “it’s as if they had closed The Crest just for us”

It was a special day in the mountains!  Angelus Crest Hwy. was empty.

Thanks for posting the short notice Don. It was great to ride with you and Carl.

Coming up the backside to Wrightwood for our return trip was a complete gas...

so much so, I ran out 6 miles from Wrightwood.

Well Larry, now you know what the range on your Duc is when you follow Carl... 

My suspension seems to be working just fine.

It was a great day up there! 

If you missed it, there will always be another chance.

I should have topped off earlier.  Range is 185-220 depending on the wrist.
