azkaisr
It is time. After a break from the board, and just returning from Torrey, I figure I better get busy here again. No such thing as a free lunch around this crew, well that isn't really true, but as a friend once said. Life is short, so participate. And yes I still own a motorcycle to those and this month I actually dusted it off and started riding again. The GSA started right up for me last weekend here at the Hacienda and off for a fun lunch ride with some friends. Like all good motorcycle adventures a ride to lunch are 200 miles, over a mountain, to eat at a dive (in our case New Mexican food). And it was all smiles. Traffic in New Mexico is rarely an issue and the ride to Los Alamos is no exception. Temps were perfect too. The GSA ready to ride The Spouse happy that we are out on the bike again Me too! The group at lunch. This ride showed me that while I can do 200 miles, I wasn't in riding shape yet to go 500. And that is the distance to Torrey where I wanted to see some of you all. We decided that we would leave the moto and take the Sprinter and mountain bikes. It was a good call. Just because you don't have a bike with you at the moment, doesn't mean you should not take the time to hang with the wonderful folks from this board. A few pics. Torrey Utah is one of the best places to visit in the US. If you get the chance, go. Don't 2nd guess yourself. Go. I got to mix two of my favorite things over the weekend. Riding Mountain bikes, and garbage can tipping. That is clean living folks. Me and the spouse taking a break. It was colder than I thought but I found a great jacket. The afternoon we went on a great hike with some of the board members and explored the backcountry of Capitol Reef National Park. I have never seen it so busy, but you can still find solitude. The Crew minus Twisties. He was off looking at plants I think. The best part of Torrey is the people. I love meeting new folks and catching up with friends. It is something again that I recommend to those new to this board. There is SO MUCH MORE than just asking technical questions and learning about BMW's. Your life will be better for riding with us. And we will benefit too from your participation. Oh the stories and claims that are made here would fill a book! Not that we could get them published but man o man..... And there you go. I am planning to ride some more in the coming weeks/months and will make sure to share. I hope all of you do the same. Tommy Two Shocks 9 Link to comment
