Delphi XM2GO - reception problems

I have the Dephi xm2go walkman style radio, I dont have the bmw radio on my 00rt so this was my only option for satellite radio. Im using the Cycle Gadgets bracket that mounts on the brake resvoir(sp?). Cycle Gadgets said that their bracket woulnt work with the xm2go radio. I bought it anyway and I have made it work by using the car kit that comes with the xm2go. The only problem as I can see is the radio itself sits about 3" higher than where the antenna is mounted. So far reception has been fine except when Im travelling westbound. The bracket is a great place to mount the radio, but Im wondering if anyone has mounted the antenna anywhere else on the bike that may give me better reception. The only time I seem to get interference is when Im facing west(very strange since the antenna is supposed to have a clear view of the southern sky). Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated

I use the same radio but mounted the car mount on the resovoir, then use the suction antenna on the corner of the wind screen. this has worked great so far. I bought a Aqua box2 for the radio but can't use the side antenna plug while in the box, also the box is so tight you can't change channels on the unit due to the side button being pushed in.

Il try that, but do you put the antenna on the outside or inside of the windscreen? When you say corner are you talking about the top corner or bottom corner of the windscreen?

i run my car antennae in the map section of the bmw r12rt tankbag, stuck with a piece of velcro all the way up front towards the screen, no reception problems...

I keep my XM2go in my tank bag. I purchased a new car antenna with a 4' cord. The antenna is then velcro'd to the brake reservoir. Very good reception to date. I seldom change the channel from "Deep Tracks" or "Boneyard"...
